4 ON 4 ICE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

WHEN:       MARCH 28-30 (FRIDAY - SUNDAY) EACH DIVISION IS ONLY 2 DAYS

WHAT:       4 ON 4 ICE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT “ROLLER ON ICE RULES”

COST:         $1,025.00 PER TEAM (4 GAME GUARANTEE) GAMES ARE 2-17 MINUTE RUNTIME PERIODS (AWARDS FOR BOTH CHAMPIONS & FINALISTS)

- $50 DEPOSIT UNREFUNDABLE DUE AT REGISTRATION (Remaining balance due Cash/Check/Venmo day of event) 

YOUTH DIVISIONS:

 (18U) 2007 & 2008, (16U) 2009 & 2010, (14U) 2011 & 2012, (12U) 2013 & 2014, (10U) 2015 & BELOW

ADULT DIVISIONS:

18 & OVER OPEN (2009 & UP), 30 & OVER OPEN (1996 & UP)

ALL DIVISIONS WILL OFFER GOLD AND SILVER LEVELS

PLAYER REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE SENT IN YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO SHARE WITH INDVIDUAL PLAYERS. ALL PLAYERS MUST FILL OUT THE FORM TO PLAY

RULES / FORMAT

Games will be 2 – 17-minute running time periods (Last 2 minutes of a game will be stop time if there is a 2-goal differential), teams will also start with the long change in the 1^st half (goalie at the far end) and then switch ends in the 2^nd half to the shortchange (goalie at your end of the ice)!

*No Checking

*No Offsides

*No Icing

*Face off after every whistle just like regular hockey

* Slap shots – If you can let it rip, LET IT RIP!!!! 

*Coincidental Penalties go down to 3 on 3 or 2 on 2 (more ice to skate)

*Penalties will be 1:30 (Running Time)

*No Timeouts at anytime!

*Roster size (Minimum) 7 skaters + 1 Goalie / (Maximum) 10 skaters + 2 Goalies (ROSTERS MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT.  IF A PLAYER DOES NOT PLAY A GAME IN  ROUND ROBIN PLAY, THEY CANNOT PLAY IN THE PLAYOFFS, REGARDLESS IF THEY WERE ON THE ROSTER)

*Ice will be resurfaced after every 2 games

*All teams must have an ADULT coach on the bench (NO MORE THAN TWO ADULT COACHES ON THE BENCH)

*If game is tied at the end of regulation there will be a 2-man shootout.  If the game is tied after the 2^nd round, the shootout will continue until there is a winner.

*In the shootout a team can choose to use the same player every time or change players every shot, it is their choice.

*3 Minute warm-up

*Absolutely no Fighting!  Any fights, the player is suspended for the remainder of the tournament.

*In Quarterfinals, Semi-Finals or Finals if the game is tied at the end of Regulation there will be a 5-minute running time 3 on 3.  If the game is still tied at the end of the overtime, then the teams will proceed immediately to the 2-man shootout.

*Over and back!  On a delayed penalty, once the puck passes the red line it cannot go back over the red line.  If it does, it is an automatic whistle.

MERCY RULE:  During Round Robin games there will be no mercies.  During Playoff games there will be an 8 Goal Mercy Rule.  If at any point during the game there is an 8 goal differential, the game is immediately over.
