2022 HSFS FALL SEASON COMES TO AN END! CROWNS 2 CHAMPIONS!

The 2022 HSFS Fall Hockey Season came to an end this past weekend.  This season once again saw over 100 High School games played by over 25 High School teams culminating in an amazing Championship Weekend played at Glacier Pointe Ice Complex.

Championship Weekend had some amazing games played, with 4 Overtime games and even a 5 round shootout.  At the end of the weekend, the HSFS staff were humbled to crown 2 Champions.

The Division 1 Champion and repeat Champion from last year were the Lake Orion Dragons.  Lake Orion had an amazing HSFS regular season taking 1st seed going into Championship Weekend and had to play 4 extremely close games over the weekend to bring home this year's D1 Championship as well as the first team in the HSFS fall league history to be back to back Champions.

The Division 2 Champions, Port Huron Northern were new to the HSFS Fall League this year and put together an amazing Championship weekend to claim the D2 title.   The final game of the weekend and the final game of the whole season was the D2 Championship and it faced off 2 rivals, Port Huron Northern vs. Greater Port Huron (Marysville - Port Huron Unified).  The arena was packed and the parents, friends and fans would not be disappointed with this game.  It was hard fought, fast paced and extremely intense from beginning to end that eventually ended up going into overtime, where Port Huron Northern would come out on top with a beautiful goal coming on a 2 on 1 rush.  It was a great way to finish another successful season of High School Fall hockey.
