2023 HSFS Championship Weekend Crowns 3 Champions
Just under 100 High School hockey games were played by 23 High School teams over the course of 4 Fall hockey weekends concluding with 3 Champions being Crowned. This past weekend, Championship weekend, was exciting with some amazing hockey and great games being played.
Division 3: The North Oakland Eagles put together a great weekend going 4 and 0 overall and edging out Troy United in a very good 4 to 1 Championship final.
Division 2: This was the one Division without a Championship game because of a 5 team bracket, so each team played 4 games against the other teams in their Division. The team with the best record at the end of the round robin was crowned Champion. When it was all said and done L'Anse Creuse Unified was Crowned the Division 2 Champion going 3 and 1 over the weekend with a few incredible wins.
Division 1: The Lake Orion Dragons did it again and put together an incredible weekend beating Romeo, Alpena, Flint Powers Catholic and in the D1 Final beating the Fall League Regular season top seed the Eisenhower Eagles. The Lake Orion Dragons are now back to back to back Championship Weekend Champs. A threepeat!!!
Congratulations to all 3 Champions as well as all the other teams that participated in the HSFS Fall league this year. We want to thank you all for your support and wish you all the best of luck in your 2023-2024 Varsity Season.
We look forward to seeing everyone in the Spring for our Showcases!
